2016 Competition begins!
WANTED – AGAIN! The very best Operations Managers of 2016
The 2016 ALMR Operations Managers Awards has opened and entries are now being accepted for the Awards, which seeks to find the best Area Manager and best BDM in managed and leased licensed hospitality businesses.
To nominate your Ops Manager then all you need do is click online at the Awards dedicated website – www.almropsawards.org.uk or by calling the ALMR on 020 8579 2080.
The Operations Managers Awards are widely regarded as the finest test of operations managers and their contribution to the outlets they support. The Awards are unique in recognising the skills, insight and professionalism that the best operations managers bring to their businesses and to the industry.
Nick Bish, ALMR, comments: “We are exceptionally proud of the Awards and the talent pool of operations managers that lead success at the sharp end of our industry. It is this flair and aptitude that the Operations Managers Awards exists to recognise, celebrate and develop”.
Last year’s winners were announced at the ALMR Christmas Lunch in front of an audience of 1200 industry peers who applauded Caren Geering of Admiral Taverns and Martha Ingham, Mitchells & Butlers – the BDM and the Area Manager of the year respectively.
Nominations can be made online at www.almropsawards.org.uk, from May 12 and direct with the ALMR on 020 8579 2080 with the Entry Paper to be completed by July 31, 2016 or within 28 days of Nomination – whichever comes sooner.
The Entry Papers are then scored with the top 20 Nominees becoming the Finalists. They will spend a day in the field with one of our Mentor Judges before the finals judging which involves searching interviews from separate panels of leading industry professionals – testing the Finalists’ performance and potential.
This year the Winners will be announced at a stand alone ceremony, the same evening of the Finals Judging, and then they take the plaudits of the entire sector when they are presented at the ALMR’s Christmas Lunch on December 15 at Old Billingsgate.
Mentor Judge of the Ops Award programme and MD of PHL Ventures, Philip Lay said: “Over the past few years we have seen the Operations Managers Awards extend their reach into the wider areas of hospitality. It is now THE pinnacle Awards for those in the late night, casual dining and branded sectors as well those within mainstream managed or leased businesses.
“This year we look forward to being able to showcase the exceptional talent that enter the Awards at their own event which will enable a wider audience of those supporting their BDMs and AMs”.
The Awards are supported by leading operators and suppliers from within the sector and commenting on behalf of these Patrons is Paul Chase from CPL Training: “The Awards say so much about the individual nominated and of course about the company that they work for. It says that they recruit well, they support their employees and they actively promote their individuals to be the best in their field with internal as well as external training. We look forward to seeing another great field of Ops Managers coming forward for the 2016 Awards”.
